Hey guys,

It's me again. Just letting you know some weird things may appear on the site in the next few days. If you spot bugs please let us know, so that we may fix them.

We have a new section for the featured, which you may have noticed, you may have also noticed it's blank. I wanted to apologize to any author who had a featured story prior to the changes, but since there was no system for featured and no logic to why the stories on there were on there, we've decided to make one. It won't be a monthly thing but something awarded to completed stories that we as admins feel deserve some more attention. Featured stories will get little banners with the admin or admins who chose to put them on there, any story that is a challenge winner will get a challenge banner.

That brings me to challenges, we have a section for them and we'd love to issue more of them, but it'd be nice to see some more responses to them. Once a challenge reaches five entries we will put the entries to a vote for a chance at getting on the featured list. Voting is done by registered users via the poll. This is all meant for fun, so feel free to respond to the challenges, there are two up right now.

In addition to this we'll be updating the FAQ, and perhaps adding a little beginner's guide to fan fiction, like a fun little reference to terminology.

I acknowledge this site has been around for years, and I don't want to change it, but I do want to keep it running and keep things fresh and new. We're pretty much in a league of our own, and we'd like to stay that way. So thanks guys for making SR what it is!
